Bout of Books Update | Day 3

Bout of Books

The Bout of Books read-a-thon is organized by Amanda @ On a Book Bender and Kelly @ Reading the Paranormal. It is a week long read-a-thon that begins 12:01am Monday, May 12th and runs through Sunday, May 18th in whatever time zone you are in. Bout of Books is low-pressure, and the only reading competition is between you and your usual number of books read in a week. There are challenges, giveaways, and a grand prize, but all of these are completely optional. For all Bout of Books 10 information and updates, be sure to visit the Bout of Books blog. - From the Bout of Books team

Day 3

Currently reading:
Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen

Books completed:
The Archived by Victoria Schwab
The Diviners by Libba Bray
The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald

Pages read since last update:250

Total pages read: 1329

Thoughts: Yesterday wasn't the best day reading wise to be honest. I didn't finish a book as I had planned because other obligations got in the way so I had barely any time to read. Today I will for sure finish Pride and Prejudice as I only have about 110 pages to go. Then I think I can also knock out another book after I babysit as well. Fingers-crossed. I know there's no failing in bout of books but, I want to see just how far I can push myself. Also, I know I won't have much time at all to read over the weekend.

How's your reading going? Have you read these books? Let me know!

  1. My reading is going great, pretty much on par with my goals. I haven't gotten to the Diviners or the Archived yet, but I'm dying to.
I hope your enjoying P&P, I loved it and have been dying to reread it even though it's not my normal genre.
    You're doing fantastic! :)

    1. Yay! You should definitely check out the Archived I fell in love with it. The Diviners is good but I did have some issues with it. Let me know once you read them how you felt!

I absolutely adored P&P I love British lit from that era so I knew I'd appreciate it but i never could finish it for whatever reason. I'm excited now to look back at other books that I've read from the Victorian Era and the whole of the 19th century.

Thanks! It sounds like you are also. Keep up the good work and thanks for the support! :)
